Tirukural

Written around the 6th to 5th century BCE by the sage Thiruvalluvar, Tirukkural is an iconic text reflecting the strong intellectual tradition of ancient Tamil civilization. This book contains no methods of worshiping a specific deity. By nature, the Tirukkural is a treatise on ethics; it compiles noble ideals and ethics concerning character building and social construction. As a guide for a healthy and balanced life journey, the Tirukkural continues to present a series of profound ethical principles to modern global citizens as an emblem of Indian ideals. Malini Goswami translated the work into Assamese. Due to the ancient nature of the Tamil language, assistance was taken from English and Hindi translations alongside the original Tamil text.
