Sasthikadasa's Cittamodakavya

The book is structured into three main sections: an introductory note, the Sanskrit text of Chittamodakavya alongside its English translation, and a critical analysis (Adhisamiksha) of the reconstructed text. It features a valuable foreword by the eminent scholar from Nagpur, Professor Dr. Shridhar Bhaskar Warnekar. Through textual criticism methods, this work deciphers, studies, and reconstructs the text of an unpublished century-poem (Shataka Kavya) titled Chittamoda Kavya by a poet named Shasthikadas, using two historical Sachipat (agarwood bark) manuscripts. The introductory section establishes the poet as an Assamese Vaishnava from the early 17th century and highlights the distinct influence of Srimanta Sankardeva's Bhakti movement on the text.
