Mricchakatikamimamsa

An analytical study of the play Mricchakatika—the first social play in an Indian language written by the poet and playwright Sudraka. The play remains highly popular today in cinema, theater, and academic curricula. This work provides a meticulous analysis of the playwright's identity, its examination as a Prakarana (a genre of Sanskrit drama), the plot, sources, background, characters, dramatic value, poetic value, the playwright's personality, and dramatic techniques.
